I read the book. Any one else find it odd about how much the Fawkes the Phoenix was mentioned at the end? They talked alot about how Voldemort and how he was able to keep his soul alive. Maybe I am making too much of it, but I just thought Dumbledore didn't seem all that worried about being struck down. Also seems odd that he was killed off relatively easily - especially with the magical powers he has shown in other books. He was weak, yes, but he still managed to immobilize Harry and have him hidden in his cloak, but yet he didn't deflect the Avada Kadeva (spelled wrong) spell. In the past he has used items to deflect it or even disarmed his opponent with relative ease.

I also find myself feeling bad for Harry - Rowlings seems to not want him to ever develop a relationship with anyone - anyone he bonds with is killed off - Sirius, his parents, Dumbledore. He even fails with his love relationships - Cho ect. He also bonded with Lupin to have him banished. Moody turned out to be a fraud.
