Currently working on Waterdeep (Final in the Forgotten Realms Avatar trilogy), way too many in the fantasy genre to list here. I have read Robert Jordan up to the fifth book Fires of Heaven, then kinda lost interest. I think I have made a good choice from what I see of fan web sites, most appear to be run by teenage girls who want to be Aes Sedai. <shrug>. My favorite book is Tom Robbin's Another Roadside Attraction. Sometimes I look for lightning in people's eyes still. I have done the basic classics of the "fantasy beatnik" subculture... Doug Adams, Narnia, TSR, Tolkein, also the dictionary (skim that one for just the words you don't know) and many modern religious tomes.

Its a great book Kat... I also like the movie Tuesdays with Morrie but havent read the book, so I knew it would be a quality book.

Glad to see you enjoyed the book as well.

Kate White is also a good auther for those that like mysteries...

My favorite book recently is Steven Pressfield's Gates of Fire. It's an incredible tale of the epic battle of Thermopylae.

My favorite series from school (twenty years ago) was CASCA, I'm thinking those are Donaldson but I no longer have them and not sure. Its the story of Cacius Longinus, the Roman soldier that speared Christ on the cross. He listened to Christ curse him to a life of imortal suffering and his blood ran down the spear to Cacius' hand. Cacius wiped his brow with the blood of Christ and was forever damned... OMG I gotta surf the web to see if I can dig those up. Very quick entertaining reads.

Not Donaldson, those were Thomas Covenant, white gold wielder series (quite good also but nothing like Casca.) They were written by Barry Sadler.[/i]
