<zoom in on the central pillar of Netherbian Lair...Dralia, Kiriess, Wolftotem and Jentrel are together...laying waste to alien after alien, a steady groove is obvious, to the point that loose conversation can be had during the fights...> Jentrel<pulling an alien back to the group>: I'm INCOMING with a Netherbian Warrior...<then under her breath> "hate Shae". <Kiriess, Wolftotem and Dralia all look at Jen and shrug, not quite knowing what to make of that comment...the Netherbian Warrior is soon dead> Jentrel<pulling an alien back to the group>: I'm INCOMING with a A Netherbian Swarmcaller...<then under her breath> "hate Shae". <again, confused looks abound and the Swarmcaller's corpse is added to the stinking pile of similar corpses> Dralia: Um, Jen...what's with the whole "hate Shae" thing? Jentrel<a nearly psychotic gleam in her eyes>: "LADY Shae"...A paladin...cocky...arrogant....she jumped me in a bar in Freeport a few months back and ran me out of town. I've never forgiven or forgotten. Some day she'll pay. Someday...someday.... Dralia: 'Lady Shae....Lady Shae....' why is that so familiar? My big brother Drexxell knows her, I think. I'll tell him what you said.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Days later.... <zoom to: Jentrel sitting next to a wide column just outside Shadowhaven. Netherbian corpses lay in a loose semicircle around her. An opened parchment from the necromancer Drexxell lay open beside her. The soft "tink" of small chains echoes, amplified in the vaulted hall as she reads and taps her fingertips together> Jentrel, I'm all for wiping Lady Shae. She gave me a scare some 20 levels back. Feign Death saved me but I had to have a friendly druid come to me, group me and port me out, as Lady Shae stood over me the whole time. Yes, I think it's time for me to confront my childhood bully and put her in her place. I'm in, if you need me. Drexxell Jentrel: Most excellent, most excellent indeed. Kiriess <peering over Jen's shoulder>: Lady Shae? who is that? Elven wench no doubt. Can I come watch? hehehehehe Let the vendetta begin....... |
