Post subject:  Why Plane of Sky is my Favorite Zone
Plane of sky is my favorite zone in Everquest because to me it is a microcosm of the entire game.

When you begin playing EQ you are this level 1 with a crappy weapon and maybe 1 piece of junk armor from your trainer. As you begin fighting you local newbie monsters (scaled wolf pups for me, probably those dredded moss snakes for you) you slowly begin recieving pieces of cloth armor and those things that sell for you first few coppers while slowly you are getting stronger. Remember how exciting it was to shout "DING 2!". Perhaps in 1 day you killed enough spiderlings to get tailoring to (5). These all bring some sence of accomplishment.

When you port in to Plane of Sky it is like you are a newbie again beginning on Island 1. First you kill the Thunder Spirits, then it's time for their princess. Double accomplishment here. DING! Island 2! and someone with you has just received a casters bracer or a melee haste belt. Now we Begin moving on with each island being more of an accomplishment then the last. Along the way there are quests to do, loot to be had and the feeling of a team being successful. To me this zone is what Everquest is all about.
