For those of you haven't seen Tunat in action, those maces (or whatever the technical term is) are always moving and he does hit with them.

*edit: I tried to find a similar weapon in medieval / oriental weaponry, and the closest thing I came up with was a manriki chain, but I believe that's designed to be held in one hand. Anyone know a name for Tunat's weapon?

p.s. Dorann is disqualified from guessing. I still can't get his "tunatfish sandwich" comment out of my mind.

I don't believe it's based on any actual weapon, or if so very loosely.

With my general study of weaponry ... I'm going to agree with Haams. It's two freakin' huge maces on chains attached to Tunat's torso.
Any resemblance to "normal" weaponry is an amalgam at best.

It's possible, along with the manrikigusari, they looked at other asian weaponry, like the meteor hammer or kusarigama.
