What on Earth is this all about? I get it after a LOOOONG patch...I hit "play" and EQ won't run.

Ideas?

Forget it...I'm sure you all know, it's because the latest version of DirectX 9.0c (which is called "DirectX 9.0c" and replaces my old version of DirectX which was known as "DirectX 9.0c"...stupid Microsoft) hadn't been updated.

I had the same error. It's just one of very many detours in my seemingly endless quest to get EQ running on Windows XP running on an iMac.
