Superman was an irreplaceable asset to the Justice League. It wasn't because of his powers (there were other "Super" hero[ine]s" who had them like Superboy, Superwoman, and Supergirl), but because of his incredible spirit, charm, and heart. He stood for what was honorable, what was right, and what was good.

Christopher Reeve, immobilized in his chair, yet forever an inspiritation to the hopeless, was the perfect example of the Superman spirit. He never gave up to the bitter end. Even in passing he continues to show us why he was born to don the famous red and blue tights.

R.I.P. Christopher Reeve. The real-life Superman. :cry:
